The essentials
- Review the product, inner protection, outer parcel and label as four separate checks.
- Approve the gift presentation and transport protection together.
- Record the packing version so the same instruction can be repeated.
Product identification
Match order variants to stock references. Show a photo when two similar items could be confused.
- SKU and variant names
- Items and quantities in each set
- Personalised fields that must be checked
Packing and presentation
Specify protection and presentation separately. Include a photo of the approved layout where useful.
- Protective layers and external packaging
- Insert, label and artwork versions
- Bundle arrangement and no-substitution instructions
Approval and exceptions
Agree when a photo or sample needs your approval, and who the warehouse contacts for damaged stock, missing components or conflicting instructions.
Review four views of the packing
A neat unboxing and safe transport have different needs. Ask for a repeatable photo sequence so you can see both before approving the instruction.
- The product and set contents before packing
- Inner protection, fragile edges and space that allows movement
- The closed outer parcel, including corners and sealing
- The current label position, with the barcode clear and old shipping marks removed
Measure the approved final parcel
Use the outside dimensions and total packed weight, including inserts and protective materials. Smaller packaging can affect cost, but changes still need to preserve product protection. Reconfirm the packing version when a product or insert changes.
